Time is our most valuable asset and these materials were designed with that in mind. I recommend that families study through the Defend Your Faith DVD teaching series in Sunday school classes, small groups and especially in the privacy of your own homes and that each of you take ownership of your ability to defend your faith.
Following is an example of a 12 week discipleship course that I teach at our church:
Develop long term goals:
- Take ownership of your ability to defend your faith and disciple others.
- Disciple those who are already Christians in your immediate family.
- Disciple at least one new believer in the next 12 months.
Develop short term goals and begin a plan of action:
- Set a specific amount of time aside each day.
- Read the Mystery Unveiled or listen to it being read on audio book.
- Follow along in the Companion Guide as you watch the (Watch as Del Sargent defends his faith DVD.)
- Highlight or underline in your Bible all the scripture references that are used in the Study Outline. Place a mark by the key scriptures and become familiar with their location in the Bible.
- Memorize the names of the 10 chapters of the Mystery Unveiled.
- Memorize the names of the 27 books of the New Testament.
- Study through the Learn to defend your faith DVD’s at home and in class. Take ownership of your ability to defend your faith and learn how to use the DVD series to disciple others.
Develop short term goals and begin a plan of outreach:
- Pray for opportunities to co-labor with the Lord in His end time harvest.
- Make an intentional effort to share your faith, I suggest that you to follow our one year outreach plan and give one copy of the Mystery Unveiled out every other week to family, friends and co-workers.
- Follow up those who have received a copy of the Mystery Unveiled.
- Build or continue to build relationships inside and outside of the church.
- If you are personally studying through the discipleship materials, I suggest that by the time you finish chapter 7 you have someone (Family member, another Christian or a new believer) committed to be discipled.
- By the time you finish chapter 9 they should have read the Mystery Unveiled or listened to it being read on audio book, and you should have followed up with them and watched the (Watch as Del Sargent defends his faith DVD.)
- Congratulations you finished studying through the Defend Your Faith discipleship series and now you’re ready to “go and make disciples.” Begin your discipleship with them and remember its all about relationships first with God and then with each other.
